Happy Leap Day everyone! Today seemed like the perfect day to tell you about something cool, so here it goes!
Some of you might remember last year we released a shirt and hoodie where the profits would help sustain the local music scene here in Central Pennsylvania, and well it was an incredible help. Without the sale of most of those shirts and hoodies, some of the shows over the last year wouldn’t have happened. It’s with that we would like to tell you about a new shirt that will help do the very same! The shirt features a series of photos from venues past and present in the Altoona area, all of which served important roles in our music scene at some point in time. I hope that it might spark some conversation, and bridge the gap between the young and old, remind everyone that shows have been happening here long before we started (You know, the ones we grew up going to), and that it’s because of all involved that they keep happening. Someone will eventually, in some way, need to fill a pair of shoes from the ones that came before them. So be involved, ask questions, and learn what goes into keeping our music scene afloat. Whether it’s making a flier, running sound, sending emails, starting a band, taking photos, designing a website, or whatever really. Someday that will be you.
You can buy one of the new shirts at any of our upcoming shows, by clicking the picture, or visiting http://anemergencyscene.bigcartel.com.
Big thanks to Cold Cuts Merch for printing the new shirts, Wapner for taking the photos, everyone that bought one of the original shirts or hoodies, and everyone that is regularly active in our all ages musical community.
